Privacy Policy

Privacy policy

Effective date: June 25, 2026

This policy explains what personal information Plumbing Patrol collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have. It also includes specific disclosures required by California law for California residents.

Information we collect

When you fill out our contact form, we collect your name, phone number, email address, service address, and the details you provide about your plumbing issue.

We also collect data automatically when you visit our site. This includes your IP address, browser type, the pages you viewed, time spent on those pages, the website that sent you here, and your device type. We collect this through cookies and advertising pixels placed by Meta, Google, and TikTok.

How we use your information

We use your contact information to respond to your service request, schedule appointments, send appointment reminders, and follow up after service. If you've given us consent, we also use it to send promotional text messages, emails, and to make marketing calls about our services.

We use automatically collected data to understand how visitors interact with our site, measure the performance of our ad campaigns on Meta, Google, and TikTok, and improve the experience on our pages. This data also allows those platforms to show our ads to people with similar characteristics.

Advertising pixels and what they share

Our site uses advertising pixels from three platforms. Here is what each one does.

Meta Pixel fires when you visit our pages and when you submit our contact form. It sends information to Meta, including the page URL, referrer, browser data, and event details. Meta uses this to report on our ad performance and to help us reach people with similar profiles on Facebook and Instagram. Meta may also use this data for its own platform purposes under its Data Policy.

Google Ads and Google Analytics track your session on our site, including which pages you visited, how long you stayed, and how you found us. Google Ads conversion tracking records when you submit our contact form. Google may use this data in accordance with its own privacy policy, including for ad personalization and cross-platform measurement. We have a Data Processing Agreement with Google governing this relationship.

TikTok Pixel records page visits and form submission events on our landing page and sends that data to TikTok. TikTok uses it to measure our ad performance and to allow us to build targeted audiences on their platform. TikTok's own privacy policy governs how they handle this data, which may include processing on servers outside the United States.

You can opt out of interest-based advertising from these platforms through their privacy settings or through the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out tool at optout.aboutads.info. California residents may also use the Global Privacy Control in a supported browser to signal an opt-out from sharing.

Who we share your information with

We share your data with Meta, Google, and TikTok as described above. We also share it with service providers we rely on to run our business, including our CRM system, scheduling software, and our SMS and email marketing platform. These providers are permitted to use your data only for the purpose of performing services on our behalf.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it if required by law or court order, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of our customers or business.

California residents: your rights under CCPA and CPRA

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act.

Right to know: You may request a disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we've collected about you in the past 12 months, what we've used it for, and who we've shared it with.

Right to delete: You may ask us to delete personal information we hold about you. Exceptions apply where we're required by law to retain it, or where it's needed to complete a transaction you started.

Right to correct: You may ask us to correct personal information that is inaccurate.

Right to opt out of sharing: We share your data with our ad platforms for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes. Even though we don't sell your data in the traditional sense, this sharing may qualify as a "sale or sharing" under California law. You can opt out by contacting us directly or by using the Global Privacy Control in your browser.

Right to limit sensitive personal information: If we collect sensitive personal information about you, you may ask us to limit its use to what is strictly necessary to provide the service you requested.

Right to non-discrimination: We won't treat you differently, refuse service, or charge a different price because you exercised any of these rights.

To submit a rights request, contact us at info@plumbingpatrol.co or (818) 666-6878. We'll confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond with a substantive answer within 45 calendar days. We may need to verify your identity before processing the request.

Data retention

We keep customer contact and service records for up to 5 years from your last interaction with us. Consent records for marketing communications are retained indefinitely to document compliance with applicable law. Advertising pixel data is governed by each platform's own retention schedules.

Security

We use encrypted data transmission (HTTPS) on our website and restrict access to personal information to staff and service providers who need it. No security system is foolproof. If we learn of a breach that affects your information, we'll notify you as required by applicable law.

Children's privacy

Our site is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child's information was submitted through our site, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices change or when laws require it. We'll post the revised version on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated separately where required by law.
