This page describes the cookies and similar tracking technologies we use on our website, what they do, and how you can manage them.
Cookies are small text files saved on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They let sites recognize your browser across sessions and remember certain preferences. Pixel tags, web beacons, and local storage work in related ways. All of these are covered by this policy.
These cookies make the website work. They don't collect data for advertising and cannot be turned off without breaking basic site functions. They're set in response to actions you take, like loading a secure page or submitting a form. You don't need to accept them separately because they're required for the site to operate.
We use Google Analytics to understand how people interact with our pages. These cookies collect data such as which pages you visited, how long you stayed, and how you arrived at our site. The data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally. It helps us see what's working and where the site falls short.
If you want to stop Google Analytics from tracking your visits across all websites, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
We use tracking pixels from Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google Ads, and TikTok on our landing page. These technologies record when you visit certain pages or complete actions like submitting a contact form. That data is sent to those platforms, where it's used to measure whether our ads produced results and to build audiences for future campaigns.
As a result of these pixels, you may see Plumbing Patrol ads on Meta, Google, or TikTok after visiting our site. Each platform processes the data it receives under its own privacy policy:
Meta: facebook.com/privacy/policy
Google: policies.google.com/privacy
TikTok: tiktok.com/legal/privacy-policy
Most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies. You'll generally find these controls in your browser's Privacy or Settings menu. Blocking all cookies will affect how the site works, and some pages may not function correctly if necessary cookies are blocked.
To opt out of interest-based advertising from Meta, Google, and TikTok, visit each platform's privacy or ad settings directly. You can also use the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out tool at optout.aboutads.info.
California residents can opt out of data sharing through our advertising pixels by contacting us at info@plumbingpatrol.co or by enabling the Global Privacy Control (GPC) in a supported browser. When we detect a GPC signal, we'll treat it as an opt-out from cross-context behavioral advertising sharing.
Some browsers send a Do Not Track (DNT) signal. Our site does not currently respond to DNT signals from browsers. We rely instead on the opt-out mechanisms described above, including the Global Privacy Control, which we do honor.
We'll update this page if we add or remove cookies or if the platforms we work with change their tracking practices. The effective date at the top reflects when this version was last revised.
